About the Committee:

The Strathmore Speaker Series was founded by a small group of Strathmore residents who are passionate about creating events that enrich the community and help to ensure the preservation of the Strathmore neighborhood.

Collectively, the Strathmore Speaker Series committee members have over 150 years of Strathmore residency and have raised 20 children in the neighborhood. Together they have worked on or led more than twenty Strathmore By-The-Park Historic Homes Tours. They have secured historic designation for two subsections of the Strathmore neighborhood and raised over one million dollars in grant money to fund park restorations and the renovation of the old Elmwood Station “Firebarn.” They have been instrumental in establishing the Strathmore Artisans Annual Autumn Arts Festival, Strathmore Ladies Night, and the Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association. They have also contributed countless hours to the Onondaga Park Association Board, the construction of the Onondaga Park Playground, Art on the Porches, Onondaga Park Spring Cleanups, and Onondaga Park Fall Festivals. They look forward to continued success with their newest endeavor, the Strathmore Speakers Series.
