The Strathmore Speaker Series began as the brainchild of a few Strathmore neighbors in 2012. It was kicked off officially in 2013, sponsored by the Onondaga Park Association, a local 501c3. In 2014, the committee was awarded its first “What if…” mini grant of $2,500 by the Gifford Foundation. The committee uses this money to cover its operating expenses and the cost of awarding small honorariums to speakers.
